Hello fellow Crusaders!  I’m Allie, a junior English Major and a member of the Women’s Track and Field Team.

The upcoming week is a big one for my teammates and I because we are heading to Bucknell for the PATRIOT LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIPS this weekend.

We have had a stellar season so far, and are looking to continue with our strong performances this weekend.  Personal records have been broken, ECAC standards have been met, and we have many ladies looking to place high in the Patriot League meet.  Michelle McGahan soared over a personal best this season in the pole vault, with a height of 3.55 meters (11’7 ¾”).  Caroline Carley is seeded second in the Patriot League with an 800 meter run time of 2:13.37, and first in the 1,000 meter run with a time of 2:49.46.  Stephanie Okpoebo is seeded fourth in the Patriot League in the 200 with a time of 24.96, while Brie Tabin sits in sixth place with a time of 25.07 (a personal best for Brie).  Steph is the number one seed in the 60 meter dash with an ECAC qualifying time of 7.57.   Emilia Sainato is fifth in the Patriot League in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.01, and Morgan Zurlo sits in fifth in the high jump with a height of 1.62 meters (5’3 ¾”).  Sarah Dahlstrom is ranked second in the pentathlon with 3331 points.  Our 4 x 800 meter relay team has the number one time going into championships as well.  These are just a couple of the phenomenal athletic performances from this indoor season.  The races, jumps, and throws in store for this weekend are bound to follow the trend!  So, to Patriot League powerhouses (cough cough, Bucknell): watch out.  Because we have nothing to lose.
